Aalspotz Oh So Pretty
Years ago I fell for Kingsmark Safii (Bakara's mum!) and dreamt of breeding my own beautiful Serengeti.
I searched long and hard for suitable foundation cats, and found Spott, my lovely affectionate Bengal/Siamese cross boy (it is his head pictured at the top left of this page) , and then Mandingo Meeka, or Pixie, my sweet, fearless, beautiful first girl who has now retired to a life of luxury as a much-loved pet.
I could visualise exactly the kitten I was hoping for from their mating - and was lucky enough for my dream to come true! In August 2008 Pixie had 8 kittens, amongst them the little Brown spotted girl I had been hoping for.
She is as affectionate as her Dad, very agile and playful, as fearless as her Mum, and a total joy to have around.
She is pictured below, showing off her huge ears, big eyes and fantastic spots! The bottom photograph shows her
enjoying the sunshine recently - she loves a couple of hours in the garden.

Our beautiful ebony silver girl arrived here in June 2008, after a 24 hour journey from California. She is very pretty, has beautiful markings, and is a gentle, affectionate girl. We have Karen Sausman to thank for putting such time and effort into letting us have such a wonderful cat. She has quickly settled in, and enjoys playing with toys she can chase! She lives with Spott, our first Serengeti boy, now neutered, and they get on well together. I expected her to take several weeks to adapt to her new life-style and am delighted she has proved me wrong! Before Bakara left America Karen kindly mated her up to SpotsOnTheLake Cougar, her lovely Serengeti stud cat. We never expected her to carry the kittens to term, but she did - and produced 5 beautiful kittens for us on August 2nd 2008. These are the first CON Serengeti in the UK, and will make a huge difference to the breed in this country. Kingsmark Pippistrelle of Aalspotz, or Pippa, is Bakara's very pretty silver daughter. She has lovely spotting, huge ears, big round eyes, a straight profile and lovely long legs. She is an affectionate, playful girl, and I haven't decided who to mate her to yet.
Aalspotz Dancing Shadow, or Dani, is a beautiful Black girl, out of Aalspotz Burning Desire by Spott. In the sunlight you can see her lovely spots, she has big ears, round eyes, a straight profile and lovely long legs. She is a very vocal girl, and always has to have the last word. She had a lovely litter of Brown spotted boys in August 2009, one of which will be staying here. He has the excellent contrast I was hoping for by using a Black, and his spots are large, with no linkage. I will add his photo to the Boys page when he is older.
