Newkingdom Livia

Livvy is a very elegant cat, with the perfect "worried" expression and gooseberry green eyes that all Maus should have.

She is very gentle, and avoids the rough and tumble games that the other kittens indulge in, although she loves to play quieter games with people instead. She adores being fussed, and as soon as we talk to her she arches her back and starts padding on the spot in sheer delight - we call it her "tiptoe dance" and it is accompanied by a very loud purr!
Her coat went through a fuzzy stage, but is now clearing well, and we hope she will enjoy being shown later in the year. We have Melissa Bateson, who was responsible for introducing the Mau to the UK, to thank for allowing us to have such a delightful cat.

Chantina Esmerelda

Ellie is as different from Livvy as she possibly could be in character - the rougher the game the more she loves it, and a mad half hour racing up and down three flights of stairs is a regular, if noisy, occurence.

Ellie loves Nancy, our Ocicat, and they are rarely apart whether eating, sleeping or playing. Ellie has stunning contrast, and a pretty face, and always attracts admiring looks. She adores water, and it is impossible to use a sink without her dipping her feet in. Given half a chance she stands in it, happy to have the water up to her tummy and will splash about for ages - a very odd girl! The fact that Suchi can so easily drink from a running tap drives her mad, as her attempts invariably lead to an ear full of water, which she doesn't like at all. We would certainly miss her if she wasn't around, and have Monica McLaren to thank for letting us have such a lovely kitten.

Aalspotz Fancy Free

Fancy, better known as PG, as she was "the Pale Girl" when she was young is the daughter of Ellie and Emaus Tetris of Newkingdom. She is very pretty, with a lovely expression and has had beautiful green eyes since she was a tiny kitten. She is a gentle girl, very affectionate (with a very loud purr!), and an excellent retriever, happy to fetch her "mouse" back to you for as long as you can be bothered to keep throwing it!

She was shown twice as a kitten, winning Best of Breed both times, and almost having a red card day at the Yorkshire Show, winning 2 side classes and coming 2nd in the third. She was shown once as an Adult, winning her first CC, and will hopefully return to the show bench in 2010.

She has been mated to Ari twice, producing some lovely kittens for us.

Aalspotz Madeline

Maddie is the daughter of Ellie and Ari, and is the girl we've been waiting for! She is so pretty, having very dark spotting and excellent contrast. Her spine line is clearing well, and her eyes are slowly turning green. She is more like her mother in character, enjoying a rough game and a mad chase around the house. She went to the Humberside Show in July, at the age of 5 months, and thoroughly enjoyed herself, winning her Open, Best of Breed, and being placed in all her side classes. The judge's critique was very good, so I am looking forward to many shows with her in the future.

Maddie is very sociable, greeting all visitors like the Ocicats do, and certainly has the "wow" factor - everyone wants to take her home!

I will have to take her to an outside stud when she is older, as Ari is her dad - but am already excited about the kittens she may produce. She is a very special kitten, with a beautiful face, and I still can't believe how lucky I am to have her!
